The Level 2 Food Safety certificate is aimed at all food handlers in the catering and hospitality sectors. Those typically requiring the certificate would be involved with:
- Residential Care Homes, Hospitals
- Retail Outlets and Fast Food Snack bars
- Hotels, Pubs, Restaurants and Hospitality Catering
- Schools and Play Groups providing catering
- Prisons

- HACCP – Food Safety Law & Enforcement
Course Aims
- To improve your food safety knowledge, change attitudes and promote the use of this knowledge in the workplace

Course Outcomes
- Provide an understanding of the principles of food safety. Demonstrates how to apply this knowledge to control hazards and prevent food poisoning
Course Details
- The course is approximately of 6 hours duration which is followed by a thirty question multi choice examination paper.
- Polish language examination papers and handbooks are available for Polish candidates and I do have a part translated presentation program.
- The examination duration is 1 hour.
- Candidates must achieve twenty correct answers to be awarded the certificate.
- My next Level 2 course is likely to be held in Mid March and will be held in central Taunton

- Special circumstances
Candidates who may encounter difficulties in meeting the normal examination criteria may apply for special arrangements, for example an oral examination. The requirement for such special arrangements must be mentioned at the time of application - It is strongly recommended that applicants refresh this certificate every 3 years

Course Fees
- The individual course fee for Level 2 Food Safety Certificate is £44. The cost includes the examination and certificate fee which is payable to RSPH or HABC, also included is the Level 2 handbook which compliments the course.

Course Location
- Although based in the South West courses can be arranged in most areas of the country either in house or at the clients premises or at a local off site venue dependent on numbers.
Progression
- Progression would normally be to the RSPH or HABC Level 3 Supervising Food Safety Qualification. Level 3 certification relates to management or supervisory staff having a responsbility for food handlers
